2 PhD student positions in molecular parasitology, University of Ostrava, Czech Republic

Laboratory of Trypanosomatid Biology, University of Ostrava, Czech Republic invites enthusiastic highly motivated students with a strong background in molecular biology or biochemistry to apply for two PhD positions starting from September, 2021. The projects will address the role of host factors governing dsRNA viral maintenance in Leishmania guyanensis and RNA editing in non-model trypanosomatids.

Requirement: fluent English, advanced molecular biology skills (DNA, RNA, protein analyses, genome manipulations). Basic bio-computing experience (e.g. genome and transcriptome analysis) is advantageous.
